Introductions
Hi, everyone! I am pleased as punch to see how many people have subscribed to
ficbooks, and I thought maybe we could get the ball rolling by having some chatter in the comments. So, I have a little introductory questionnaire for those of you who would like to fill it out or just talk amongst yourselves.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to bring 'em up here or PM me.

2. When and where do you do most of your fic ebook reading? At night, curled up on my couch. I am so delightfully unfortunate to be one of those people who can't read in a moving vehicle without getting sick. :\
3. Do you prefer ebook paragraphs separated by a blank line or indented? Indented, and I will absolutely spend three hours reformatting an ebook just to have it that way.
4. What is the most recent fic ebook you either downloaded or read? I'm currently reading Baby-sitters Club The Next Generation #6: Byron and the God of California by zelempa, which is a roughly 30,000 word Baby-Sitters Club story from Yuletide. It has some embedded images in the story that didn't show up in the epub file, but I was able to add them manually using Sigil.
5. In which fandom(s) do you primarily read fic? Do you ever read fic ebooks outside your primary fic-reading fandom(s)? I do most of my online fic reading in Pundit RPF fandom, but all my fic ebook reading falls outside that. I'll read fic ebooks for pretty much any source I'm vaguely familiar with, but I'd be especially interested in longish X-Files or Star Trek XI fic ebooks.
6. Have you made any fic ebooks, or are there any ebooks of fic you've written? If you don't make ebooks or write fic, where is your favorite place to download fic ebooks? I'm very, very slowly piecing together a couple of Pundit RPF ebooks for personal use (they're stories whose authors have disappeared from the fandom). Anything I have posted to AO3 is, of course, available as an ebook, but that's it for now. When I finish my current longish story, I'm going to make (what I hope people will consider) a nicely-formatted ebook version of that.
7. What are you hoping to get from this community (e.g. more fic ebooks to read, a place to post your fic ebooks, the skills to make ebooks...)? More fic to download and read, of course! I'm hoping that activity in this community will make other people think, hey, there is interest in ebook-formatted fic, so maybe I'll start offering some of my stories in that format.
8. Anything else you'd like to add? Um. Yes, actually! I'm sure there are fic authors out there who would love ebooks of their stories, but who don't have the time or resources to learn how to make ebooks. Would there be any interest in a post for these authors to comment on and say, "Hey, if you wanted to make my fic X, Y, or Z into an ebook and post it to
